Today, in Diario Financiero newspaper, our Tax Partner, Alex Fischer, notes that: “it is essential that the reform include the widespread reinstatement of a differentiated capital gains tax, since with the 2014 reform and following the elimination of the flat tax, a ‘lock-in’ effect has occurred that prevents the efficient reallocation of capital gains and, in practice, has resulted in lower tax revenue”.
